poetry writing challenge - day 4

write something about an animal or animals.
(not feeling it, but here we go)

Cow Haiku

Grass. grass. grass. grass. grass.
More grass. More grass. More grass. More.
All day.

bravo. but i'm sure you needed that zen to deal with the harrowing ride. harrowing because you weren't in control?

yes.
tapping out syllables was a helpful diversion from recurring thoughts of potential death and dismemberment.

not quite harrowing.
very .. howshallwesay?....attention-getting though!
mostly damn good fun and nearly unbearably beautiful.

i had quite a few more complicated cow haikus going that were successful, I think, but when I finally felt I probably wasn't going to die, I could get more into the mind of the cow and this little bit of brilliance just came to me.

It must have been very good grass. They weren't looking up and staring at all. Usually they just look right through me.

Maybe i need to create An Anthology of Cow Haiku.

I'll accept any entries.
They are all valid, I think.
Why not?
