2009 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 22
Posted by Robert

For today's prompt, write an emergency poem. Everyone has their own idea of what constitutes an emergency, so these poems could be about anything from zombie attacks to running out of ketchup.

Here's my attempt for the day:

I will die today.
That's an emergency, surely.
But what can I do?
My heart leaps in my chest.
No one knows how happy I am.

I hope the phoenix is reborn, because that's what a phoenix does i understand.

This poem fits to the flu I got - not an emergency but really not the fun part ;-(
